Microneedling is a huge buzzword lately, and with good reason! It uses your skin's natural rejuvenation process to address numerous skin concerns with very little downtime. Microneedling is formally known as ‘Collagen Induction Therapy’ because each treatment restores up to a year’s worth of lost collagen while also improving the overall appearance of your skin.

During this procedure, your skin is numbed with a topical numbing cream before a pen shaped device with tiny needles is used to treat wrinkles, enlarged pores, scars, stretch marks, skin elasticity, texture, and tone. Any area of the body may receive this treatment. For 48 hours after your microneedling treatment, do not engage in any activity that will cause your skin to heat up or sweat.

Treatments are generally recommended once a month for an initial series of three to six followed by maintenance treatments once every three to six months. Together we will discuss your goals and come up with a treatment plan.

Before we jump into peels, we need to determine if your skin is ready. It’s important that your skin is healthy enough to receive a peel so that we don’t cause unnecessary stress to your skin barrier. I perform superficial to medium depth peels. This means that you may experience some mild skin flaking 2-7 days after your treatment, but you will not shed sheets of skin. This keeps social downtime to a minimum while still providing you with outstanding results.

Once you’re cleared, we will choose the peel type & frequency that will benefit your skin the most and help you reach your skin goals.

By having a variety of peel options, I’m able to help my clients improve almost any skin related concern:

The Pfect-A Illumin Biphasic Peel is a gentle, resurfacing chemical peel that combines TCA, AHA, BHA, and PHA acids with protective oils (Squalane, Bixa Orellana Seed) for instant brightening, smoothing, and skin rejuvenation without significant downtime, making it ideal for dull, textured, or uneven skin, including acne, scarring, and hyperpigmentation, and suitable for most skin tones and first-timers with healthy barriers.

What distinguishes this peel from others is its distinctive inside-out approach. Traditional peels work their way inward, dehydrating the epidermis, which often results in major peeling and downtime. In contrast, Illumin bypasses & hydrates the outermost layer of skin while it penetrating deeper in order to reshape the skin without the same level of surface dehydration, offering a unique and appealing approach to skincare rejuvenation. This peel is also safe to receive during summer months as it does not increase photosensitivity.

The Krx Green Sea Peel is an innovative Korean skincare treatment that harnesses marine-based silica spicules derived from saltwater sponges, which are abundant in minerals and antioxidants for skin rejuvenation. Unlike conventional chemical peels, this treatment promotes skin cell regeneration through controlled trauma, facilitating the shedding of dead skin and enhancing overall renewal.

This peel effectively exfoliates dead skin cells, unclogs pores, lifts pigment, and stimulates collagen production. Because of it’s collogen stimulating effect, this peel also improves the visibility of acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles.

The procedure involves cleansing the skin, applying the spicules, and tapping/massaging them into the skin. The results vary depending on the duration of the massage: 3 minutes for a light treatment, 5 minutes for a medium treatment, and 7 minutes for a deep treatment.
