Microneedling is a huge buzzword lately, and with good reason! It uses your skin's natural rejuvenation process to address numerous skin concerns with very little downtime. Microneedling is formally known as ‘Collagen Induction Therapy’ (CIT) because each treatment restores up to a year’s worth of lost collagen while also improving the overall appearance of your skin.

During this procedure, your skin is numbed with a topical numbing cream before a pen shaped device with tiny needles is used to treat wrinkles, enlarged pores, scars, stretch marks, skin elasticity, texture, and tone. Any area of the body may receive this treatment. For 48 hours after your microneedling treatment, do not engage in any activity that will cause your skin to heat up or sweat.

Treatments are generally recommended once a month for an initial series of three to six followed by maintenance treatments once every three to six months. Together we will discuss your goals and come up with a treatment plan.

PEEL CONSULTATION

Before we jump into peels, we need to determine if your skin is ready. It’s important that your skin is healthy enough to receive a peel so that we don’t cause unnecessary stress to your skin barrier. I perform superficial to medium depth peels. This means that you may experience some mild skin flaking 3-5 days after your treatment, but you will not shed sheets of skin. This keeps social downtime to a minimum while still providing you with outstanding results.

Once you’re cleared, we will choose the peel type & frequency that will benefit your skin the most and help you reach your skin goals.

Peels available at Sisu Esthetics include: BioRePeel, Green Sea Peel, Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Beta Peel, Salicylic Acid, and more. By having a wide variety of peel options, I’m able to help my clients address almost any skin related concern:

The KRX Green Sea Peel is a resurfacing treatment that is acid-free, 100% natural, safe for all fitzpatricks & safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Instead of acids, this treatment utilizes spicules that are harvested from the endoskeleton of sea sponges to cause the skin to peel. Spicules are quickly becoming the go-to alternative for microneedling.
